Though it was only recently I’ve discovered this guy, I think through a Death Battle or maybe a Batman game, he always managed to scare me with how badass and efficient he was, not to mention, that voice. Grizzled, chilling and just plain awesome.
Though I was surprised at seeing Slade look so young and somewhat generic, at least if I’m comparing the comics to the TV series that this alludes to, I still can’t deny that the drawing is absolutely 100% awesome. We get a Face/Off style look at both the man and the machine, and what impresses me is certainly the combat armour on both sides (especially the reflective look on Deathstroke’s side) and the wonderful details on the human face, most notably, the scarring.
Perhaps the most impressive part, however, is the way you’ve drawn all the various materials in his outfit, from the leather to the denim-like belt. Needless to say, this is some real quality portraiture of one of the most merciless mercenaries to grace the medium. Kudos to you and Alex for such a spectacular effort.
